Mom (Aisling) finally decides it's time for a change, and convinces her husband to take the aptitude test for Sim University. If they want to encourage the children to get a better education, they need to set an example.
Aisling decides on a major in Science and Medecine, while Jacob goes a different route. He'll major in Business and Communications.
But Jacob's attitude is annoying Aisling. His comments on the exhaustion they could succumb to via their travels is starting to annoy her a little bit.
When they arrive, Jacob insists they live in a private residence they can rent. But Aisling believes it a waste of money...so they go for a free dormitory.
Right after choosing her room, Aisling calls her children. She misses them already. They've already set the babysitters underwear on fire.
Meanwhile, Jacob's setting into his new social life by making a new friend.
At the meet and greet on campus, Aisling gets information on her new schedule and major.
But Jacob doesn't care about his, so he decides to go straight for the pool table.
...and ignores poor Aisling, who settles for foosball...
Until she discovers ping pong, and after being abandoned by his pool partner, Jacob brags about his invincible ping pong skills.
Sure, he wins the first round...
...but he's defeated in the second round...
But before they can go another tie breaking round, the sun sets and Aisling stomach is beginning to rumble. Jacob, in irritation after losing, demands another match. But Aisling is hungry. So they leave. But Jacob is determined to break the tie.
The school starts next day, and Aisling is struggling to control her stress levels. So she tries to participate in chess in between her last two classes.
The week goes on, and in between classes and studying, Aisling is finding herself sleeping more and playing chess to ease the stress.
During a hands on exercise, Aisling spends the entire class looking over her skeleton...and shocked classmates are standing around. What did they pay for? Loafing time?
After midterms, Aisling has nothing to do...so old habits burst forth, and she gives the disgusting dormitory a scrub down.
And, of course, Jacob wants to break the tie...
...the tie is broken. But not in his favour.
But this will be the last good memory for the pair. Aisling has no idea the drama that's about to unfold.
That night, Aisling is missing her children. She gives them a call. She's very homesick.
On the day before second half of term, Aisling decides to visit a little cafe in town. Apparently Jacob wants to spend some time with the guys.
After buying her children some comic book souvenirs, she tries her hand at guitar...
...and orders a cheese danish.
Meanwhile, the guys spend the day bowling...
...and discover a mime's act in front of the diner where they're having dinner.
Several mornings into the second week/term, Aisling stomach feels uneasy. She awakes worried, stressed and queasy.
While in her two hour morning lecture, Aisling is ignorant to what's going on at the dormitory. Apparently, Jacob feels Aisling is too obsessed with their children and her school work. She's no longer worth his loyalty. He's looking for new fish in the sea.
Arriving back (and still ignorant to the events earlier) Jacob gets nasty, and starts screaming at his wife. He thinks she's cheating on him.
And when Aisling stands up for herself...
...Jacob slaps her to shut her up.
Angrier, Jacob goes after a cheerleader in the dormitory when Aisling goes upstairs to sleep everything off.
...and she digs it...
But they're caught in the act. Aisling gets upset. He's cheating on her! But Jacob turns to slapping again.
...and after she's left the dorms for the library, he starts back up again. I seriously hate this guy.
...just a side note, i re-did a Sim that was in the dorms...
Of course, said Sim was watching Aisling in class the next day. Concerned, obviously. I mean, Jacob did slap her twice.
After class, Aisling decides she can't take it anymore. They meet in the park, and Aisling insists they divorce. She demands he find his own place so when they return, he can go on his way.
When term is over (Aisling managed an A average, Jacob a C) they leave University. Aisling is planning to keep in contact with a few friends from University.
The moment they return, Jacob heads for his new apartment. And Aisling is finally glad his couch potato, slapping self is out of her life.
A few days later, little Elise surpasses her baby days.
She's inherited her mother's eyes...but not the hair. Hopefully we'll win next time!
There are no more babies in this house! For now.
Lets not forget adorable Cashew. Sweet little puppy!
And Jacob calls Amelia. Aisling may not like him, but he's still her children's father. Though she doubts he'll call his children much after this.
Aisling's irritation is showing though...
And finally, Maple ages up! She's now a child!
...but seriously, look at this guy...
